As the first leaves have fallen, it has sparked rich conversations this week in our classrooms. The children started to notice the seasonal changes…chilly mornings, leaves crunching under their feet, frost, and different colors around them. We took a closer look at autumn through vivid seasonal picture books. Green K went on an outdoor adventure connecting the texts to what they discovered outdoors. Blue K applied their expertise from the environment and texts to an art project. Blue K friends used watercolors and droppers to create a falling leaves scene in the classroom. We are in the fall spirit in Kindergarten...and of course, we are looking forward to one of our favorite fall holidays, Halloween!
