The day counter counts down the final days of Kindergarten and the children begin to feel anxious and excited about the close to our school year. The children have spent some time over the last two weeks reflecting on aspects of kindergarten they loved, areas in which they have grown and goals they have for next year as first graders. During our final days the children have written downs words of wisdom for incoming kindergarten students that will be shared during "Moving Up Day".

“Oh No, it’s time to go!, said the Kindergarten students. Throughout the play process, Kindergarten students were learning about variations of dialogue and how to project their voice. Since the students were fresh off their performance last week, the students were introduced to quotation marks during Reading Workshop time! The students worked with a partner to find quotation marks in their Just Right, Look Books, and Big Books to further understand the concept of dialogue.  |
