Monster Squeeze!

12/1/2017

Monster squeeze math took Kindergarten by storm this week. Students played this game to continue to practice and support number recognition, and explore number relationships. Students demonstrated math language such as "greater than" and "less than.” First, we had a group discussion and played the game together as a class on the iPad, and had fun using our life size monster to play a guessing game on our class number line. Afterwards students took the challenge of creating their own monsters.  They used smaller number lines and played the game with a partner. We are now challenging our mathematicians to play the game during our Reflection time and some students are having fun playing the game with numbers up to 100!
