Book Talk Power

Kindergarten students began to frequently ask, when is Cougie going to give us a new reading power?! They were so excited this week to finally receive another letter from Cougie! Cougie wrote...

• "I noticed that some of you were wondering why I have not delivered any more powers to you over the past few weeks.  It’s true, I have not given you any more powers, but I have been watching you grow stronger and stronger as readers using the powers you have.  I have watched you use your powers so that you are now an even stronger reader than you were when we started our training.  As I watched, I was waiting and waiting until you were ready for me to deliver one final power. You are ready now."
