Kindergarten students were busy this week learning about what it means to code. The children had great fun coding with each other, giving commands to a partner, following commands from the teacher, and then using computer language like “run” and “bug”. Kindergarten teamwork really paid off, as they were able to successfully complete their missions. Helen Noble, education technology coordinator, made a guest appearance and taught us about some great applications to use on the iPad to reinforce coding, such as Kodable. We loved learning about “Flurb” the furby who wanted to get from one place to another. We cannot wait to experiment more with other coding applications!
